A Little Bit Of Boo...

Stacey made the all adorable Little Bit Of Boo for her sister-in-law.  I love the darling stitched blocks!  (My personal favorite is the spider.)  I think the silver spiderwebs on the solid black border really set this quilt off.  I wish I was Stacey's sister-in-law! :)

All About The Ghastlies!!

I know Halloween is a few weeks behind us, but I've kept my Ghastlies quilt up because I just can't bear to put them away!  They feel like part of the family.  I love that this is so non-traditionally Halloween... I've never been a big orange and purple fan.  This is my second Ghastly quilt and my favorite!  I had this pattern drawn up in my head right down to the spiderweb quilting.  Obviously, we were meant to be...

Happy Birthday, Jean! (Stacey's Mom)

I am soooo proud of Stacey!  She designed this quilt for her mother, for her birthday.  Designed it!  Before she really knew much about quilting!  Wow!  I have found when Stacey puts her mind to something, she doesn't back down!  She has drawn each of her siblings families and had them color the families with crayons.  She set the crayon into the fabric, added sashing and a border and DONE!  This was also Stacey's first time machine quilting.  She did all over loops and flowers!  She has a gift, our Stacey!

Stacey's Halloween Quilt!

This is Stacey's 'first' pieced quilt since she's learned how to quilt.  She chose the fabric all by her self...an accomplishment, even for the seasoned quilter!  The pattern is called Charming Fractions.....a perfect 'beginner quilter' quilt.  I have a hard time calling Stacey a beginner....she's sewn since she was 6 years old!  She quilted spider webs in the purple blocks and all over swirls.  This was Stacey's second attempt at quiltingShe did amazing!

Stacey's First Quilt!

Stacey finished her first quilt.....after 20 years!  Yay Stacey!  I love the squares turned on point.  She made this quilt knowing nothing about quilting, yet she'd sewn clothing before.  I think it turned out wonderfully!  We quilted Cathedral Windows in the center squares and a medium meander in the outer squares...BEAUTIFUL!
