"LOVE" the Lines!

This is one of my favorite modern machine quilting patterns.  So simple and fresh.  I have made several of these Tula Pink "LOVE" quilts and this is my favorite way to quilt it.  It compliments the modern look of the quilt.  This particular one is being sent to my cousin, Kellie.  I hope she loves it as much as I do! =)

    1. The pattern I used is LOVE by Tula Pink. It's a hard pattern to come by these days... it's several years old. It's worth searching for, though. This is my 'go to' pattern when I want to make a gift. It comes together in just a few hours. Good luck! :)

    2. Thank you for the reply. I have the pattern. I bought and downloaded it a couple of days ago. I'm still a bit new to quilting but saw your version of Tula Pink's Love Quilt and loved it. It looks a little easier than hers. I want to make one for my daughter's dorm room. Can you give me any information as to how you went about making yours? Thank you for your time.

    3. The letters are done exactly how the pattern has it. The only difference between mine and hers is I used one color as the background instead of two and I added a 5" border. Sometimes I will cut the top and bottom sections 24" x WOF and trim the letter sections {after the background has been added to the sides} to the same width as the WOF of the top and bottom sections... Hope that all made sense. ;) then I add borders. I do this to make the quilt a good lap size... about 54 x 72. And I don't have to piece the top and bottom sections, cutting time down a bit. Play around with it... As long as you make the letters like the pattern says, you can experiment to make the quilt the size you want and the background as plain or as scrappy as you want. This pattern is easier than it seems, I promise. Let me know if you need any more info. =)
